Supportive Care Services
As part of our holistic approach to caring for our residents and their loved ones, we recognize that people are greater beings than their medical illnesses. Each resident arrives with a unique story, filled with their share of joys, sorrows, fears, doubts and confusion. At ARCH Hospice, our goal is to provide a place of peace, comfort, and calmness.
With our highly-specialized and experienced staff, not only is the physical care and comfort of our residents paramount but so is the emotional, spiritual and psychological well-being of our residents and their families. Each component is equally important during the end-of-life experience.
Supportive Care Services offered at ARCH Hospice...
The end-of-life journey can be a time of deep emotions that are not easily described or even understood. Each journey is unique to each individual; some may come with a sense of peace and calm acceptance or filled with fears and doubts, even at the same time. If you are in need of grief support, please contact us or access our Grief and Bereavement tools.
At ARCH we believe that death is a step in the journey of life. While we have no designated religious affiliation, we do value the role of spiritual and religious care at the end of life as an important part of this journey. We are here to support all religious traditions and denominations. Our team offers many spiritual support services to residents and family members, inclusive to people of all faiths, cultures and beliefs, including:
Help in connecting with a tradition that is meaningful
Help in planning funerals or other rituals to mark times of loss
Referrals to religious leaders and faith communities
Milestone events may be celebrated, such as baptisms, weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays
Grief is a normal human reaction to loss. Suffering the loss of a loved one can feel unbearable and life may seem hopeless and set one adrift. At ARCH, we are happy to announce the reintroduction of our grief and bereavement programs. At this time, we are not taking on new one-on-one grief clients. We will continue to keep this updated as soon as we can offer this service again. Please see our additional resources page here for resources within the community
